McDonald’s is selling oatmeal!

I don’t like oatmeal.

But after seeing so many of the advertisements, I almost wanted to try it. Thankfully for me, someone I was with (who shall remain nameless to protect the innocent) went to McDonald’s and ordered one so I could see it. Once again, what they show on TV is not what you get in reality.

Here’s what they show you on the screen:

Here’s what you get when you actually go there:

(NOTE * This is the actual Oatmeal my companion ordered)

Just another example of over-promising and under-delivering.

Rarely do we get what we think when we try to get it fast.

That’s the problem with FAST FOOD.  Faster could mean disaster. Or you could just read this blog about the oatmeal’s nutritional facts.

FAST FOOD IN BIBLE HISTORY
Some of the examples of people in scripture who wanted what they “saw” fast and cheap:
Eve saw the unspecified forbidden fruit…
Achan saw a beautiful Babylonian robe…
David saw “Bath”sheba bathing…
Amnon saw Tamar (his half-sister) … (ewww)…

What do you see? Or rather, what are you fixated on that you should not have? What has life advertised as the ultimate prize? It may be oatmeal you’ll later regret.
